Our Ophthalmology service offers comprehensive evaluation and management of eye conditions through advanced diagnostics and personalized treatment plans. We partner closely with pet families to track progress and ensure the best possible visual outcomes for their companions.

The department is powered by The Eye Vet. Indi’s first exclusive veterinary ophthalmology specialty practice, and is led and attended by the Diplomates of the International Board of Veterinary Ophthalmology.

Dr. Chiranjeovdhar Pathak

B.V.Sc. & A.H., M.V.Sc. (Surgery), DBVo

Dr. Chiranjeovdhar Pathak is a Diplomat of the Veterinary Ophthalmology Board of Veterinary Ophthalmology (DBVo) with expertise in veterinary ophthalmology and advanced ophthalmic surgery. He completed his Bachelor of Veterinary Science in Mumbai and his Master’s in Veterinary Surgery from the College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Udgir. He subsequently completed an intensive three-year residency in veterinary ophthalmology, gaining specialised expertise in the diagnosis and surgical management of complex ophthalmic conditions. He was awarded the DBOV Certification in 2025, an internationally recognised qualification in veterinary ophthalmology, and brings a strong combination of surgical expertise, clinical precision and specialised ophthalmic care to his practice.

Dr. Aakash Vedpathak is a Diplomate of the International Board of Veterinary Ophthalmology (DIBVO) with expertise in veterinary Ophthalmic Surgery and advanced eye care. He completed his Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Master's in Veterinary Surgery at Bombay Veterinary College, with postgraduate research focused on cornal grifting techniques to manage cornal clars in dogs. With five years of clinical experience in general surgery, followed by advanced specialty training in veterinary ophthalmology, Dr. Vedpathak brings extensive expertise in diagnosing and surgically managing complex ophthalmic conditions. He completed a three-year residency in veterinary ophthalmology and was awarded the DIBVO certification in 2025 — the highest international qualification in veterinary ophthalmology.

Dr. Vivek Thakur is a veterinary professional with a Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Science from Bombay Veterinary College and clinical experience across multiple veterinary projects in Mumbai. He joined The Eye Vet in March 2023. His clinical practice is focused on small-animal ophthalmology and eye care, with an emphasis on accurate diagnosis, effective treatment and supporting the recovery of vision in companion animals. Dr. Thakur brings a patient-focused approach, strong clinical acumen and a commitment to specialised veterinary care to his practice.
